We want everyone to be able to use our website, including people with sight loss, hearing loss, limited dexterity or memory difficulties. Many of the people we help live with these conditions, so this matters to us.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we check new pages with an accessibility checker before they go live.
We are updating our website page by page, and some parts don't yet meet the standard we're aiming for:
Some older pages and documents may be harder to use with a screen reader.
Some of our instruction books are scanned PDFs, which screen readers can't read.
Not all of our videos have captions yet.
Parts of the menu and the contact form may be hard to use with a keyboard only.
We're working with our website provider to fix these.
You can make text bigger, change the colours (for example to yellow text on a black background) or have pages read aloud using the settings on your own phone, tablet or computer. These settings then work on every website you visit, not just ours.
AbilityNet, a disability charity, has free step-by-step guides for every type of device: My Computer My Way (AbilityNet).
We're happy to help. We can post you a printed leaflet, read information to you over the phone, or send instructions in a format that suits you, including large print.
Our opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 9am to 3pm on Fridays.
If something on our website is hard to use, please do get in touch and let us know which page it was. Your feedback helps us put it right.
