Questions families ask

Will it work for someone with dementia?

Many families use Pivotell for someone with memory difficulties. It works best when a family member or pharmacy fills it and the person can recognise the alarm and tip out the dose. If in doubt, ask the person's GP, pharmacist or occupational therapist.

Who fills the tray?

A family member or pharmacy. Spare trays let you fill the next one in advance.

Can I get one through the council or NHS?

Many councils supply Pivotell dispensers after an assessment. Contact your local adult social care team, or buy direct from us.

Are there medicines it isn't suitable for?

Some medicines shouldn't go in any dispensing system, such as liquids or those that need to stay in their original packaging. Check with your pharmacist.
