Important: This product uses 2G SMS messaging. From 1st October 2025, the O2 Network will no longer support 2G SMS messaging. After this date, your SIM will only be able to roam onto Vodafone and EE, which will continue to support 2G connectivity.
The Pivotell Advance GSM sends text messages to up to three family members or carers, and an email to one, to say whether medication has been dispensed at the alarm time. If it hasn't, they can check on the person's wellbeing before a problem develops.
If the person using the dispenser has a mobile phone, they can be sent one of the alert messages too. Want alerts in the Jointly app as well? See the Advance GSM with app alerts.
An all-inclusive SIM card is supplied, using the Vodafone and EE networks. It picks up the best signal available, so the dispenser needs to be somewhere with at least one working mobile network. The 2G network it uses is supported until 2029.
You're covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
Dose times are set in the Pivotell Administration Centre. It keeps a record of when doses were dispensed and when alerts were sent, so family and professionals can see how things are going.
The Advance GSM has all the features of the Pivotell Advance:
In the box: the dispenser, 2 printed time discs (1 to 4 doses a day), 2 blank discs, a key, a battery cover screw, a prescription booklet and holder, 4 x AA batteries and the SIM card.
| Doses a day | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Refill every | 28 days | 14 days | 9 days | 7 days | 4 days |
Spare trays let the next tray be filled in advance, so refilling is a quick swap. Some medicines shouldn't go in any dispensing system, so if in doubt, check with a pharmacist.
