An automatic pill dispenser (also known as an automatic medication or tablet dispenser) is lockable, so the user can't reach their medication until the programmed alarm time. The dispenser then rotates to present the correct dose. This makes it an excellent aid for people living with Alzheimer's, dementia or confusion, and helps avoid missed and double doses.
